Greetings to all, and welcome to Shaferspeare!

Here at Shaferspeare, you'll find essays, inspirational material, opinions, and God willing, you'll learn something along the way.

Maybe I'll make you laugh. Maybe Shaferspeare will make you cry. I hope I'll make you think, as well. I have never been afraid to tackle gut-wrenching issues others may duck, and though you'll find no slanders or slurs here, you may find something politically incorrect. Some of the things said that make other people gasp strike me as totally sensible; once in a while, I think even Pat Robertson makes sense (not always, so don't faint on me).

...Even the most obnoxious people can be right occasionally and say something intelligent once in a while, so as much as possible, I try to be fair while I read and listen to others, and I hope you'll extend me the same courtesy.

My Mother is fond of saying that we only learn as we listen to others; while we're talking, we're broadcasting, and you can't learn while you're talking. It takes silence and open ears to learn, so as I begin this blog journey, I'll happily read your blogs, and I hope to learn from you as well.

God didn't just make us all human; he made us teachers, too.

God bless you all, and welcome again to Shaferspeare...
